Secretary Napolitano Announces Temporary Protected Status for Haiti

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano has just announced the designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible nationals of Haiti. 

The Commission and other sisters organization called on President Obama to  grant Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Haitians living in the U.S as the Commission believed that granting TPS is one of the most effective ways to help a community ravaged by such a devastating natural disaster.
